I am passionate about capturing emotion and authentic connection between families. This is done through directing you and your family but not posing. You will not need to look at the camera or say cheese. I want to photograph your family as they are on that day. I will prompt interactions and guide you the whole way. I want to show the messy, complicated, and beautiful connections between families in an authentic way.
Family sessions are held outdoors around sunset. The best light occurs about an hour before sunset. Believe me, it is worth the wait to get the lighting right for your session. I love playing with light and including environmental elements. How lucky are we to live in such a beautiful area? Sessions can be held in fields, forests, or around the beach. We will work together to find the best location for your session.
Newborn sessions occur in the home using natural light. These session typically occur mid-morning (around 10 am) depending on the light in your home.
What you wear is important. I want you too feel great about your photos! When you look good, you feel good! Families should coordinate not match. I recommend solids, neutral tones, and simplicity. Avoid logos or bold patterns. For moms, tops or dresses that allow movement work best. You can check out my pinterest board or feel free to shoot me an email with further questions.
For newborns, white onesies work best along with some simple swaddles or blankets.
Nothing! Well, close to nothing. Bring some snacks and toys for the kids (make sure snacks won't make a mess- chocolate is a very bad idea).
All of my sessions are all-inclusive. This means you will receive a full gallery of custom edited images available for download with full print rights. Prints can be purchased from me, or on your own. I cannot guarantee print quality unless you purchase your prints from me or another high quality print lab.
