Where and when are sessions held?
Family sessions are held outdoors around sunset. The best light occurs about an hour before sunset. Believe me, it is worth the wait to get the lighting right for your session. I love playing with light and including environmental elements in images. How lucky are we to live in such a beautiful area? Sessions can be held in fields, forests, or around the beach. We will work together to find the best location for your session.
What should I wear?
What you wear is important. I want you to feel great about your photos! When you look good, you feel good! I will send along a styling guide before your session and be happy to work with you to help throughout your planning process.
Newborn sessions are very simple. No special props or costumes are necessary. Just a white onesie and some wraps are all I recommend.
What should I bring?
Nothing! Well, close to nothing. Bring some snacks and toys for the kids (make sure snacks won't make a mess- chocolate is a very bad idea).
What is included in a session fee?
All of my sessions are all-inclusive. This means you will receive a full gallery of custom edited images available for download with full print rights. Prints can be purchased from me, or on your own. I cannot guarantee print quality unless you purchase your prints from me or another high quality print lab.
When is the best age for a newborn shoot?
I don't do any crazy posing and don't need the newborn to be sleepy to get great photos. Newborn sessions ideally are done by 4 weeks of age.
What is the best timing for a maternity session?
Typically maternity sessions are done when you have a noticeable bump, but aren't too uncomfortable. This varies from person to person and even pregnancy to pregnancy. Usually around 28-36 weeks.
